National University of Science and Technology: Admission Eligibility for Medical and Bio Sciences

Engineering

FSc (Pre-engineering group) from any Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education or an equivalent qualification like an Overseas High School Certificate/ British General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level)/ International Baccalaureate /Advanced Placement with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics is required. All non-FSc stream candidates need to obtain equivalence certificates from IBCC, Pakistan, to apply for the programs.

FSc / equivalent with a combination of Physics, Mathematics and Computer Studies or Computer Science is required for admission in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering & Telecommunication Engineering only.

A minimum of 60% aggregate marks each in Matric (Science Group) and FSc/ equivalent exams (Pre-Engineering/Computer Science Group) is required. No deviation in this regard is allowed

BS Computer Science

A minimum of 60% aggregate marks each in Matric (Science Group) and FSc/ equivalent exams (Pre-Engineering/Computer Science Group) is required. No deviation in this regard is allowed.

Medical Sciences

FSc (Pre-medical Group) from any Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education OR an equivalent qualification like Overseas High School Certificate/ British General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level)/ International Baccalaureate /Advanced Placement with three subjects out of which Biology and Chemistry are essential subjects with 60% marks in aggregate as certified by IBCC to be equivalent to FSc as approved by PM&DC.

Applied Biosciences

Natural Sciences (BS Mathematics)

Intermediate or an equivalent qualification, such as an Overseas High School Certificate/ British General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level)/ International Baccalaureate/ Advance Placement (with Mathematics) is required. All non-FA/ FSc stream candidates need to obtain equivalence certificates from IBCC to apply for the program.

A minimum of 60% aggregate marks each in Matric and Intermediate/equivalent exams (with Mathematics). No deviation in this regard is allowed.

B Architecture

FSc/Equivalent/ (Pre-Engineering OR Computer Science Group OR any combination including Physics & Mathematics) is required. A minimum of 60% aggregate marks each in Matric (Science Group) and FSc/ equivalent exams /(Pre-Engineering OR Computer Science Group OR any combination including Physics & Mathematics) is required. No deviation in this regard is allowed.

Note

Candidates of FA/ FSc stream can apply for the NUST Entrance Test on the basis of FA/ FSc Part-I but the confirmation of their admission is subject to the provision of FA/FSc certificate or Detailed Marks Certificate (with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks) before the commencement of the relevant program of study. Candidates of O/A Level stream can apply on the basis of O Level equivalence certificate, duly obtained from the Inter Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC) office, but the confirmation of their admission is subject to the provision of the A Level equivalence certificate (with a minimum of 60% marks). Candidates for Medical/Biosciences programs have to enter their complete FSc or Equivalent exam marks as per IBCC, Pakistan.
