Undergraduate Eligibility Criteria
Engineering
FSc (Pre-engineering) from any Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education or an equivalent qualification like Overseas High School Certificate/British General Certificate of Education (Advance Level)/International Baccalaureate/Advance Placement with Physics' Chemistry and Mathematics.
FSc/equivalent with a combination of Physics' Mathematics and Computer Studies or Computer Science for admission in Software Engineering' Computer Engineering' Electronics Engineering' Avionics Engineering' Telecommunication Engineering' Information and Communication System Engineering only.
Minimum 60% aggregate marks each in Matric and in FSc (excluding NCC marks)/equivalent exams. No deviation in this regard is allowed.
Medicine & Bio-sciences
FSc (Pre-medical) from any Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education or an equivalent qualification like Overseas High School Certificate/British General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level)/International Baccalaureate/Advanced Placement with Physics' Chemistry and Biology' as approved by Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC). Any other combination will not be accepted.
Minimum 60% aggregate marks each in Matric and in FSc (excluding NCC marks)/equivalent exams. No deviation in this regard is allowed.
Marital status: Unmarried (till rules are revised).
Information Technology / Architecture
Minimum 60% aggregate marks each in Matric and FSc with Physics' Mathematics' Computer Science/Computer Studies/Chemistry (excluding NCC marks)/equivalent qualification. No deviation in this regard is allowed.
Natural Sciences (BS Mathematics)
FSc (Pre-engineering) from any Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education or an equivalent qualification like Overseas High School Certificate/British General Certificate of Education (Advance Level)/International Baccalaureate/Advance Placement with Mathematics' Physics and Chemistry/Computer Studies/Computer Science.
Minimum 60% aggregate marks each in Matric and in FSc (excluding NCC marks)/equivalent exams. No deviation in this regard is allowed.
Business Studies / Social Sciences
Intermediate or an equivalent qualification like Overseas High School Certificate/British General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level)/International Baccalaureate/Advance Placement.
Minimum 60% aggregate marks each in Matric and in Intermediate (excluding NCC marks)/equivalent exams. No deviation in this regard is allowed.
Note:
- Candidates of FSc stream can apply for NUST entry test on the basis of FSc Part-I but confirmation of their admission is subject to provision of FSc certificate or detailed mark sheet (minimum 60% marks) of relevant category before the commencement of relevant course of study.
- Candidates of O and A Level stream can apply on the basis of O Level equivalence certificate duly obtained from IBCC (minimum 60% marks) but the confirmation of their admission is subject to provision of A Level equivalence certificate (minimum 60% marks) of relevant category before the commencement of relevant programme of study.
In order to encourage candidates from O and A Level backgrounds' NUST has some SAT specific seats in all disciplines for induction through SAT tests. Pakistani candidates of both O/A Level and FA/FSc streams can exercise this option and compete for the SAT specific seats.
