King Edward medical university Overseas scholarships 2014

Human resource development initiative MD-MS-PHD program for faculty development in king Edward medical university, Lahore. Applications are invited from outstanding Pakistani nation-also to award scholarship in the fields for/MD/MS&PhD for basic sciences.

Minimum eligibility criteria

  • Be a Pakistani
  • Candidates must have a minimum of a sixteen (16) years of education (MBBS) for MD/MS & eighteen (18) years of education for PhD with first division or 2.5/4 CGPA or 3.5/5 scores whichever is applicable.
  • A maximum of two second-division passes throughout the academic career prior to the final degree.
  • Not less than 50% marks throughout the academic career.
  • Maximum age on 18/3/14 should be 35 years for all other and 40 years for  full time regular faculty member of public sector R&D organization.
  • Candidates must have acquired the requisite academic qualifications on or before 18/3/2014
  • Candidates who have already hold any other HEC scholarship are not eligible to apply.
  • For MD/MS GAT (General) and for PhD GAT (subject)/GRE  international is required to qualify the scholarship, however subjects where GAT (subject) is not available, the university shall conduct GRE type test.

Documents required with application

The following documents are required to be submitted along with the printed copy of application form:

  • Photocopies of all educational testimonials .
  • Photocopies of CNIC  and domicile (mandatory).
  • Purpose of interest in higher studies (one page).

  • Research proposal abstract (applicants having 18 years of  education).
    •  
  • Copy of GAT (subject)/ GRE international score result card if available.
    •  
  • In-service (only for government employees) candidates need to apply.
 

Through proper channel with assurance from their employer that if scholarship will be awarded, they will be released immediately and after completion of the  studies, they will serve at Pakistan public universities. Advance copies will be accepted.

 

Important Note

  • Candidate must have a final degree in a relevant field of study.
  • Awardees will also have to execute a bond with KEMU to serve in KEMU for a minimum of five years after completion of their study.
  • For award of scholarship criteria of HEC will be followed and the selection board of university will conduct central selection test.

Last date of receipt for applications

Prescribed application form can be obtained from business center KEMU and application complete in all respect must reach in the office of undersigned up to 18/03/2014.
