ELIGIBILITY Ph. D

  • Minimum 16 years of education in the relevant field.
  • Minimum CGPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 (3.75 out of 5.0) or 70% marks in the terminal degree. For Ph.D (Basic Medical Sciences ) M. Phil (minimum 70% marks ) or FCPS.
  • Minimum 60 raw score In GAT (Subject) or 60 percentile score in GRE (Subject) or 70% score in GRE Subject type (as applicable) .
  • First Division/B Grade /CGPA 2.5 out of 4 throughout academic career (less terminal degree ), is preferable .Maximum of two 2nd Division or C Grades in SSC through Bachelor degree is acceptable but no Third Division or D Grade is allowed.

Eligibility MS/M. Phil/MBA

  • Minimum 16 years of schooling or 4 years (124 credit hours ) education after FSc/FA /A level in the relevant field.
  • Minimum 50 raw score in NTS (GAT-Gen) test held on or after 1st August 2011 or GRE (General) /GMAT (as applicable) with following minimum accepted scores:
GRE (GEN)
  • Quantitative 151/170
  • Verbal 146/170
  • Analytical Writing 3.5/6.0
GMAT/MCAT: 50 percentile; score of GRE/GMAT/MCAT held after 01 August 2010 will be accepted.
EMBA/MS Economics (3 years) Minimum 14 years of education
Minimum 50 score in NAT-II conducted by NTS. NAT conducted on or after 1st August 2012 will be accepted. SCHOLARSHIPS HAC Scholarship awardees are encouraged to apply.
Limited number of merit scholarship and tuition fee waivers are available in selected disciplines.
Full time Ph. D students will be given tuition fee waiver, provided they are willing to work as TA/RA (not exceeding five hours in a week)
NOTE
  • Candidates, who are awaiting result may also apply, provided they can submit their final result before the commencement of classes.
  • NTS is conducting next GAT (Gen) on 7th April and 7th July 2013. GAT-Subject (for admission to Ph. D ) will be conducted by NTS on 19 May and 25 Aug 2013. Next NAT-II will be conducted on 21 April, 26 May 23 June and 21 July 2013. For registration and details on GAT/NAT, visit NTS website www.nts.org.pk
  • NUST institution code to receive GRE (General) and GMAT is 7035,respectively
  • Admission to Ph. D Program me will only be confirmed, if the Application clears the GRE (Subject)/GAT (Subject) exam before start of the Program me.

  • Masters/Ph. D classes will start on 9th Sep 2013. M. Phil/Ph. D in Basic Medical Sciences classes will start 9th December 2013.
