Eligibility Criteria:
Successful applicants will normally have a First Class Honours Degree or a Masters degree in a relevant discipline, the ability to work independently with support of a supervisor and the enthusiasm to contribute to a stimulating research environment in the Extremes Research Group. Applications are accepted from UK/EU and International scholars.
Scholarship Description:
Professor Walsh is currently the Head of Research in the School of Sport, Health and Exercise Sciences and Director of the Extremes Research Group. His team have published landmark papers showing that saliva and tear fluid can be used to identify hydration status with potential applications in athletic and clinical settings. This PhD studentship will further this work.
