Human Rights in New World Order

But what are human rights in the context of world order today? These are the rights to which entitle a mankind a decent, civilized life in which the inherent dignity of each human being will receive respect and protection. The idea of human rights does not imply merely the comforts provided by what science and technology can provide. Nor does it imply mankind’s rights to fulfillment of their biological needs; it rather means those conditions of life. Which allow mankind to develop and use their human qualities of intelligence arid conscience and to satisfy their spiritual needs. Above all human rights are fundamental to our nature and in the absence of these rights we cannot live as human beings. To deny human rights is to set the stage for political and social unrest wars, hostility between nations and between groups within a nation — and lead to urgent demands for a better life with larger freedom.

Now there are two kinds of fundamental rights which have been recognized in the Universal Declaration of the UN. First there is the traditional kind —civil and political rights. Then there are economic, social and cultural rights.
