Research & Development
Along with maintaining high academic standards, NUST encourages R & D activities as one of the primary functions of the university. All faculty members and postgraduate students actively involve themselves in R&D in hi-tech fields of science and technology required for the national development in both defense and civil sectors. For this purpose, R&D Directorate at HQ NUST
encourages the growth of research culture at NUST constituent colleges/institutes/centres through the provision of necessary resources and supporting infrastructure, including facilitating activities for faculty and students to apply their efforts into research and materialize the fruits of development. All efforts of R&D Directorate are coordinated through an organizational structure at various tiers consisting of HQ NUST, R&D Cells at each constituent college/institute/centre and NUST commercial arms, i.e., Technology Incubation Center (TIC) and NUST Consulting (NC).
