Superstitions and the Theatre

Many superstitions prevail in the theatre world. To have candies or real flowers or peacock feathers on stage or to look in a mirror over the shoulder of another is thought unlucky. A cat running across the stage during a performance portends evil. A flawless rehearsal is not a good augury. An actor’s squeaking shoes point to a favourable reception for him. (60 words)
