About - Buttsbury Infant School

Buttsbury Infant School a larger than average infant school with four form entry which is located in north of Billericay, Essex opened since 1930. It has twelve light and spacious classrooms with large and attractive assembly hall where sccess to the school building is monitored by a security system with cameras. On the site is Buttsbury Pre-School and Dizzy Ducks Day Nursery, both of which are independently run.

A child has the right to a full time place at school from the September following their 4th birthday. Parents can request to defer admission until the child reaches compulsory school age in the school year, thus,the school will put on hold the defer entry and not offer and not offer it to another child. The parent would not, however, be able to defer entry beyond the beginning of the term after the child’s fifth birthday, nor beyond the academic year for which the original application was accepted. Morning session only is available for parents opting to take up a part time place until child reach compulsory school age.
