Industrial Research and Training

Lack of skilled acid trained labor is a major obstacles in the way of industrial development. To meet the requirements of research and training, Science and Industrial Research Department has been established since 1949. Institute of Personnel Training was attached to Pakistan Industrial Development Corporation and World Labor Organization.

Under the research council, research laboratories are operating in Karachi, Lahore and Peshawar.

Swedish-Pakistan institute of technology was established in 1955 by the co-operation of Sweden, which provides training to owners of small-scale industries.
