The Exam is a standardized test. That means it's predictable, and you can learn how to master it. Chances are
that you have taken standardized tests before — you may have been required,
for example, to take the SAT to gain admission to college. Once upon a time,
standardized tests were all pencil-and-paper exams, but many, including the
Exam, are now only offered as a CAT (Computer Adaptive Test). CATs are a bit
harder to understand, so we'll look at how they work in this lesson. But before
we look at the CAT, let's take a look at a few questions about the Exam and
testing in general.
