ISSB - Inter Services Selection Board

ISSB is the premier human resource organization which selects future leadership for the Defense Forces of Pakistan. ISSB acts as nursery for the Defense Forces of Pakistan. The Inter Services Selection Board (ISSB) is for officer commissions in the Defense Forces of Pakistan, the Army, Navy and Air Force. Selection is based on psychological screening to test ability, aptitude and personality. After qualifying the selections procedure at ISSB, a candidate must pass a Medical Test. After passing the medical test, the candidate undergo officer training at military academies.

Coaching for the tests is not officially allowed, but nevertheless many academies do exist for this purpose, often run by retired army and ISSB officers. ISSB Selection Methodology
