UNO contribution to the emergence

One of the most remarkable achievements of the U.N,O. has been its contribution to the emergence of a large number of in-dependent countries, particularly in Asia and Africa. The present membership of this world body is 193 as compared to the original membership of 50, and the U.N.O. has played a significant role in the birth of many of these new members. In other words, the U.N.O. has assisted in the liquidation of vast colonial areas.
