Economic Crisis of Pakistan     Categories Six Principles of Good Governance At the time of Independence the region that today forms part of Pakistan was surplus in food grains and India was running into deficit. Today the situation is other way round. India has not only attained self-sufficiency in food but it has some exportable surplus as well. The only cause of this sorry state of affairs is bad management of the economy of Pakistan by governments that came into power from time to time. Pakistan has been very unfortunate in having governments that could not live up to the principles of good governance.
