About - Abacus Primary School

Abacus Primary School was opened in September 2002. As they continued to grow they opened some additional classrooms to cater for the ever growing Wick Community on September 2009. The office and front entrance have been remodelled to provide further space as waiting area when collecting the children. The school has grown and still continuing to foster a family and community ethos and work in partnership with their families. They all have the children’s best interests at heart and plan for a rich, creative and enjoyable curriculum, which allows every child to access it.div>

Abacus Primary School is a popular school serving residents on the Wick. More applications receives over the places that is available and regularly has appeals from parents who have been unsuccessful in gaining a place for their child, including some who reside in the priority admissions area. There is no guarantee of a place for children in the priority admissions area. In the event of over-subscription places will be allocated using the following set of criteria .Exceptional medical circumstances (supported by medical evidence), may override the above.
