Ghyllgrove Community Infant School provide children to receive a varied, challenging and inspiring curriculum, where every child is encouraged to achieve their full potential. There is a Nursery within the school and applications for the Nursery must be made directly to the school. Children start in Reception at the beginning of the academic year (Sept) during which they will be 5 years old. Applications for Reception places must be made to the local authority. Out of catchment pupils attending Ghyllgrove Community Infant School do not have an automatic right to transfer to Ghyllgrove Community Junior School. The admissions policy in operation in the Junior school, has similar priorities in place.
