About - Great Bentley Primary School

Great Bentley Primary School was built in 1896 and since then Great Bentley Primary School has had much rebuilding and remodelling. The most recent rebuild was completed in 2003. The school has maintained it's historic front throughout. The governors and staff of Great Bentley Primary school are committed to ensuring that every pupil receives equal treatment and educational opportunities within the formal and informal curriculum regardless of race, colour, nationality, ethnicity, culture, sex, disability or age.

Admissions are completed through Essex County Council. In the event of there being more applicants than places available the following criteria will apply in priority order. Should there be more applicants than can be accommodated that fall within any one of these selected criteria, then places will be assigned first to those living closest to the school on the basis of straight line distance from the school gate. Exceptional medical circumstances (supported by medical evidence) may override the above, other than Looked After Children.
