Great Totham Primary School governing body is the responsible for admission arrangment and not the LA. Any of the criteria set out by the school will be the basis in allocating places. The intended number of admission is 60 to maximum of 64 per year group of Years 3 to 6. In the event of oversubscription within any of the given criteria, priority will be determined by straight line distance, those living closest tot he school is highest priority. Exceptional medical individual circumtances may override the criteria other than Looked After Children. All Reception Year children, (other than those moving into the school priority admission area during the course of the academic year), who have been offered the place will be admitted in the September. Parents can request to defer admission until the child reaches compulsory school age in the school year, thus,the school will put on hold the defer entry and not offer and not offer it to another child. The parent would not, however, be able to defer entry beyond the beginning of the term after the child’s fifth birthday, nor beyond the academic year for which the original application was accepted. Morning session only is available for parents opting to take up a part time place until child reach compulsory school age .
