About - Howbridge Church of England Voluntary Controlled Junior School Witham

The school has a caring, friendly, Christian ethos that aims to develop everyone to their full potential within an atmosphere of mutual respect and openness, where everyone’s contribution is valued. We are all ‘learners’ and celebrate the richness, variety, inspiration and challenge that everyone can bring, so giving a high priority to the spiritual development of our school community.

Years 3 to 6September
To all parents of Year 2 pupils (Infants) who wish to apply for a place must inform the Local Education Authority before 31st March of the year prior to their admission. Once a place has been allocated prior to 31st March,parents will be invited for induction program and to view the school at work during the afternoon to help you decide if Howbridge Junior School is the right school for your child. After this date Year 2 Infants will be invited to attend selected lessons to liaise with the Year 3 classes and introduced to selected Year 5 children as part of a supportive program for when they transfer. Another meeting is arranged for parents during the summer term to provide an opportunity to gain further information . All admission requests (ie children in Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 moving into the area) should be submitted to Planning and Admissions as above. Application forms are available from the school office.
