About - Jerounds Junior School

On January 1, 1963 Jerounds Junior School replaced St. Mary’s Church of England School in Great Parndon where the original school building was built in 1857. When the old school closed on July 25, 1963, Jerounds opened in its present site on that same year serving the Parndon area of Harlow.. The Junior school is sharing the same site with Jerounds Infant School.v>

Years 3,4,5 and 6September
Admissions is handled by the Essex Local Education Authority (LEA). There is no guarantee of a place for children living in the priority admission area. Children Looked After and children attending the partner infant school, who request a place at the junior school will be allocated a place providing an application is received by the closing date. In the event of oversubscription any remaining places will be allocated in accordance with the set out criteria in the order given. However if oversubscription is within any of the given criteria; thus proximity (straight line distance) of the child's home to the school will be given highest priority. Exceptional medical circumstances may over ride the above. Applications received after the start of year 3, Children Looked After will be given priority ahead of all other applicants.
