About - John Bunyan Junior School

John Bunyan Junior School was built in 1956. An average sized junior school situated on the outskirts of BraintreeThe building is centred around a main hall and has spacious, well equipped classrooms, a library, ICT Suite and Community Room. We have a heated, open-air swimming pool and good sized grounds which now include outdoor activity equipment.

There is no guarantee of a place for children living in the priority admission area . In the event of oversubscription it is governed by set of criteria. However if oversubscription is within any of the given criteria; thus proximity (straight line distance) of the child's home to the school will be given highest priority. In the event of over-subscription within the above criteria priority will be given to looked after children and then determined by straight line distance from home to school with those living closest being given priority. Exceptional medical circumstances may over ride the above. AThere is no guarantee of a place for children living in the priority admission area .
