About - Matching Green C of E VC Primary School

Matching Green School is a unique village school where the Victorian buildings interface with 21st Century technology and the latest teaching techniques. All this and set in one of the most picturesque school grounds and environment that God created. The school has served the community on its present site for over 100 years.

Class 1 to 3September
The school implement Essex County Council’s policy for admissions. The number intended to admit in each academic year is 10. There is no guarantee of a place for children living in the priority admission area. In the event of oversubscription places will be allocated following the set of criteria. In the event of oversubscription within any of the above criteria, priority will be determined by straight line distance from home to school, those living closest being given the highest priority. Exceptional medical circumstances (supported by medical evidence) may override the above (other than Looked After and previously looked after children). Processing of application for a place is govern by Essex County Council (LEA) and all complete application must receive on the closing date stipulated. Children who are due to start in the Foundation Stage are normally admitted in full time during September. Children transferring from other schools will normally be admitted at the beginning of a new term, unless they are moving into the catchment’s area of the school or by special arrangement with the school.
