About - Sawston Village College

The College was founded in 1930, the first of the Cambridgeshire village colleges and the brainchild of education visionary, Henry Morris. Morris who held the position of Secretary for Education for Cambridgeshire, believed in life-long learning from the cradle to the grave and believed that a school should be a centre of learning for people of all ages, and which had no barriers separating it from the community it served.div>

The application process for admissions into Year 7 for the start of the school year is co-ordinated by Cambridgeshire LA, who acts on behalf of the Governing Body to offer places at the college. For further information and full details on how to apply please visit the LA website. To apply for a place after the start of the school year, or for any other year group, please contact the LA Admissions Team for an ‘In-Year School Application Form’ by telephone.
