About - St Michaels Church of England Voluntary Aided Junior School

St Michael?s Church of England (Voluntary) Junior School was opened in September 1967. Situated on the outskirts of Chelmsford in the popular village of Galleywood. We share our site with Galleywood Infant’s School where a strong and growing partnership exists. It has eight classrooms (one of which is currently is used as an ICT Suite) and a further re-locatable classroom within the grounds.

Subject to the availability of places within the school?s standard number, it is the policy of the Governors to admit the children of all parents who express a preference to have their children educated at this school. In the event of over subscription a set of criteria are followed.The proximity (straight line distance is calculated by the LA) of the child?s home to the school will be given highest priority over the above criteria.
