About - St Nicholas Tolleshunt D Arcy CofE VA Primary School

The school has been started since early 1900.St Nicholas Tolleshunt present building with 7 classrooms including a large reception class room with it's own playground was built in 1983. St Nicholas Tolleshunt is set in the centre of Tolleshunt D’Arcy village which the school is serving along with Goldhanger and Little Totham in East Essex.

Pupils will be admitted in the September of the school year in which they become 5 years of age. In line with legislation, the school will make arrangements for all children to be admitted in September full-time. Parents can request to defer admission until the child reaches compulsory school age in the school year. Parents opting to take up a part time place until child reach compulsory school age .The parent would not, however, be able to defer entry beyond the beginning of the term after the child’s fifth birthday, nor beyond the academic year for which the original application was accepted. The school will hold waiting lists for Reception places after the end of the first week of September and this will be held until the end of the Autumn Term 2014. The school will receive mid term applications and operate a waiting list for all year groups in the event of oversubscription. A Supplementary Form will then be available for parents to complete.
