About - The Len Wastell Infant School

The Len Wastell Infant School is an old and well-established school, opened in 1909. It shares premises with Pitsea Junior School, but is a separate school with its own ethos and management structure. The building is traditional with six classrooms opening off a corridor around a central quadrangle. The school is situated on a large site and it has an access to two playgrounds, one of which is fenced round at the front of the school to provide a safe playing area for the younger members of the school community.

Only one entry date every September of each year.Children will be admitted in the September before their fifth birthday. Number intended to admit during the Academic Year 2013/14 will 45. Parents must complete the Common Application Form (CAF) this will be posted to parents directly during October/November of the academic year preceding child starting school. Application is also available online.
