About - Woodham Ley Primary School

Woodham Ley Primary is formerly known as New Thundersley County Primary School and situated in Rushbottom Lane, Benfleet, Essex and was established in 1928. The school is a bright and spacious building, with extensive grounds, including an excellent outdoor provision for the Early Years Department. In addition to the six classrooms, there is an extended services hub and pre-school facility on site.Woodham Ley is a friendly school with excellent, well behaved pupils.div>

Children are admitted to school at the beginning of the academic year in which they their fifth birthday.There is no guarantee of a place for children living in the priority admission area. Subject to the availability of places within the schools standard number 30 for academic year 2014/2015.In the event of there being more applicants than places available the following criteria will apply in priority order. Should there be more applicants than can be accommodated that fall within any one of these selected criteria, then places will be assigned first to those living closest to the school on the basis of straight line distance from the school gate. Exceptional medical circumstances may over ride the above. div>
