Built in 1961, Abbotsweld Primary School are committed to the care and success of every individual in the school community. It aims to educate and develop everyone to become active learners, enabling them to become effective, confident, independent members of society ready to embrace learning for life. v>

Years 3 to 6
All children are entitled to a place in school at the beginning of the term after their fifth birthday. Admission of children is at the beginning of the school year (September) when they are four. Foundation stage children are invited into the School for sessions during the Summer Term before they start full time. Parents need to complete application form to register their children to the school of their choice. Deadline of application is at the end of February in the year that the child will start school. In case that application exceeds the required number of places following guidelines is observed. In the extremely rare event of over-subscription within any of the set guidelines, priority will be determined by straight line distances from home to school, with those living closest being given highest priority.
