About - Akiva School

Akiva opened in 1981. The school was the first Jewish primary school in the country to be established by the progressive Jewish community, providing particularly for members of Reform, Liberal and Masorti communities. In 2006 it was designated as a two-form entry school in preparation for the move to the state sector in the London Borough of Barnet. With funding from the Department for Children Schools and Families (DCSF) a new building was constructed on the Manor House site into which the school finally moved at the beginning of January 2008.

parents are requested to complete the Akiva supplementary information form (usually referred to as the SIF) form, which is available from the school office. The SIF asks for information to establish what level of priority the applicant is entitled to.
