About - Bursted Wood Primary School

The school was opened in 1975. In 1995 seven more classrooms and a Nursery were added and in September 1995 the school became two form entry.In recent years, a First Aid Room, Performing Arts room, Multi-media Suite, Art Studio and Outdoor Theatre have been added. In the summer of 2010, we celebrated the opening of our Forest School which will further enhance the children’s learning opportunities. The school has a strong, most supportive, governing body who collaborate effectively with staff to maintain high standards. The ethos of the school is one of caring for the individual child.

The school has an annual intake of 60 children each year. There are also 52 part time nursery places.
