Reception and Year 1

All children born on and between 1 September 2008 and 31st August 2009 admission for primary school in Reception in the academic year beginning in September 2013. As required by law, All Essex infant and primary schools provide for the full time admission of all children offered a place in the reception from September following their fourth birthday. Parents can request to full time status or defer entry of the child until it reaches the compulsory age in the school year. However parents can't defer the entry beyond the start of the term after the child's 5th birthday or beyond the academic year which the original application was accepted.
