About - Darrick Wood Junior School

Darrick Wood Junior School was opened on January 9, 1968. Before that time Lovibonds Avenue was an unmade country lane, and horses roamed in the fields where the school now stands.It is a spacious building set within very pleasant surroundings, including Darrick Wood itself. Our school is very well resourced, with large classrooms and various additional spaces, including a main hall which is used for a range of activities, various small group teaching rooms, a smaller hall for Music and Drama activities, a Design and Technology room and two very well-equipped Information and Communication Technology Suites.
