About - Earls Colne Primary School and Nursery

Earls Colne Primary School & Nursery is located in beautiful grounds at the very heart of the village. We are fortunate to have excellent facilities including a swimming pool, ICT suite and a wildlife area. You will find happy children that are excited about learning. It is also closely linked with the immediate and neighbouring village communities and place great value on this. The school has been on its present site since 1983 and now has twelve permanent classrooms, a large hall and its own kitchen.

Earls Colne Primary School & Nursery is a Foundation School. Admissions to the Primary School and Nursery are considered separately by the Admissions Committee of the School’s Governing Body. Although we would hope that most children will transfer from our nursery into the main school there is no automatic right of transfer. Parents must complete a Common Application Form (CAF) which they will receive from the local authority but which is also available from the Essex County Council website. A Common Application Form must also be completed and returned to Essex LA for mid-year applications.
