Earls Colne Primary School & Nursery is located in beautiful grounds at the very heart of the village. We are fortunate to have excellent facilities including a swimming pool, ICT suite and a wildlife area. Earls Colne Primary School & Nurserytakes seriously its responsibility to protect and safeguard the welfare of children and young people in its care. There are a number of policies and procedures in place that safeguard and promote the welfare of children who are pupils of the school

Earls Colne Primary School and Nursery is a Foundation School. Admission to the Primary School and the Nursery are considered separately by the Admissions Committee of the School’s Governing Body. As required by law, this school provides for the full-time admission of all children offered a place in the reception year group from the September following their fourth birthday. A child has the right to a full time place at school from the September following their 4th birthday. Parents can request to defer admission until the child reaches compulsory school age in the school year, thus,the school will put on hold the defer entry and not offer and not offer it to another child. The parent would not, however, be able to defer entry beyond the beginning of the term after the child’s fifth birthday, nor beyond the academic year for which the original application was accepted. Morning session only is available for parents opting to take up a part time place until child reach compulsory school age . For Oversubscription ,children with statements of special educational needs that name this school in their statement are required to be admitted to the school.
