The total number of questions in GRE Mathematics test is 66 all are multiple choice questions. The topic they cover include the contents usually taught at undergraduate level in almost all colleges of the world. Almost half of the questions based on common topics of calculus and its applications.

Basic algebra, linear algebra and number theory question contibutes about one fourth of the test. The remaining questions deal with other common areas of mathematics currently studied by undergraduates in many institutions.

The following content descriptions may assist students in preparing for the test. The percents given are estimates; actual percents will vary somewhat from one edition of the test to another.

Practice questions play an important role in your preparation. You can download standard practice question from here for the familiarity of the test questions.

The topics given above are not final other advanced and innovative techniques acn also be appeared on the test. So you must study mathematics as a general subject as well.
