About - Gosfield Community Primary School

Gosfield Community Primary School, a small village school which serves the children of Gosfield and the surrounding area.The original school building dates from 1858 and undergo extensive repair. Work completed in December 2009 and recent adaptations have made the main school building more accessible for disabled pupils and adults. We have wonderful grounds in which children can learn and grow. In 2008 we celebrated the school’s 150th Anniversarydiv>

All admissions are dealt with by Planning and Admissions at Essex County Council. Information is sent directly to parents, usually in October, enabling them to apply for up to three schools in ranked preference order. Applications deadline for September 2013, is 15th January 2013. Late applications will be accepted, but are processed last. We encourage all children to start in September, however, Parents do have the right to defer entry until the start of the term after which their child reaches five years old (though places will not be held open after the close of the school year).
