About - Great Clacton CEVA Junior School

Great Clacton CEVA Junior School is a large Junior school with falling roll. The school has national healthy School status and an International Schools Award. Great Clacton Junior School aims to provide a safe, secure and happy environment where every child is valued for their individuality. The Governing Body is the admissions authority for the school. Their standard number to admit for the 2013/14 academic year is 60. Pupils will be admitted at the beginning of the academic year following the date on which they attain the age of 7 without reference to ability, race, religion or aptitude. All complete application is coordinated according to Essex County policy. Where applications for admission exceed the number of places available sets of criteria will apply according to priority of order.Where the admission of children cannot be fairly and uniquely determined by using any one of the above criteria, then priority within that criterion will be decided by the proximity of the child’s home to the school, as measured by a straight line on a map, with those living nearer being accorded the higher priority.
