About - Hadleigh Infant and Nursery School

Hadleigh Infants and Nursery School was opened in 1965 and is situated in a pleasant residential area. The catchment area has a wide socio-economic mix and pupils live both in privately owned, rented and local authority housing. The school roll has increased over the past few years.v>

Children will be admitted full time in the September following their fourth birthday. Published admission number for academic year 2012/2013 is 90.Parents can request to defer admission until the child reaches compulsory school age in the school year, thus,the school will put on hold the defer entry and not offer and not offer it to another child. The parent would not, however, be able to defer entry beyond the beginning of the term after the child’s fifth birthday, nor beyond the academic year for which the original application was accepted. Morning session only is available for parents opting to take up a part time place until child reach compulsory school age. Children will be admitted without reference to ability or aptitude
