About - Hare Street Community Primary School and Nursery

Hare Street Infant and Junior Schools were opened in the 1950’s to serve the Hare Street and town center area of Harlow New Town. It was in 2001 were these two school amalgamated and a new name was form to Hare Street Community Primary School and Nursery. It has a spacious and attractive site, a big and landscaped field with lots of trees, flowers, shrubs that provides interesting play and learning areas.

There is no guarantee of a place for children living in the priority admission area. Where the school is oversubscribed, allocation of available places is determined of the criterion set out in a priority order. However if oversubscription is within any of the given criteria; thus proximity (straight line distance) of the child's home to the school will be given highest priority. Except for medical circumstances that may override the priority criteria other than Looked After Children.
