About - Heybridge Primary School

Heybridge Primary School was then known as Bentall’s Ironworks School in 1864. Soon after the Great war, the school transfer into a purpose built premises in The Street in 1913 and be known as Heybridge School. After 100 years in serving and providing a secure, happy and caring school community , Heybridge Primary School still remained. Now entering its next chapter towards the 21st century is being in partnership with The Kemnal Academies Trust.

Admission processing and filing of application is through Essex Local Education Authority (LEA).Heybridge Primary School provides full-time admission of all children offered a place in the reception year group from the September following their fourth birthday. Parents can request to defer admission until the child reaches compulsory school age in the school year, thus,the school will put on hold the defer entry and not offer and not offer it to another child. The parent would not, however, be able to defer entry beyond the beginning of the term after the child’s fifth birthday, nor beyond the academic year for which the original application was accepted. parents opting to take up a part time place until child reach compulsory school age should make arrangement with the school. Where parents choose to defer entry, the school may reasonably expect that the child would start at the beginning of a new school term/half term
