About - Jerounds Community Infant School

Jerounds name was came from the housing area. It was opened in 1963 in the premises in the old Church of England buildings in Great Parndon. Jerounds Community Infant School new building was completed in 1964 in Pyenest Road. The six well designed, proportioned and carpeted classroom has its own Art & Design area, cloakroom and separate toilets. The school also has well equipped and large assembly hall. The school site is shared with Jerounds Junior School and good links exist between the two schools.

All children whose fifth birthday falls between September and August will be admitted for full time in September. Community schools admission will be handled by Local Authority. The school will admit 60,therefore two form entry of 30 each year. For first timer, parents is invited to bring their children at the school for a visit during the term prior to admission.
