About - Kingswood Infant and Nursery School

Kingswood Infant School & Nursery was built and opened in 1957. Sharing the pleasant, spacious site with the Junior School next door. Since September 2011 the school had seven large classrooms; one of which functions as a Nursery. Prior to September 2011 one of our Reception classes was situated in an outside demountable classroom. Through our own savings and fundraising, we were able to extend our existing building, which was a real achievement for our School.div>

The Nursery takes children on a part-time basis at the beginning of the academic year in which a child turns 4 years of age. Children are admitted into one of the two Reception Classes at the beginning of the academic year in which the child turns 5 years of age. Parents can request to defer admission until the child reaches compulsory school age in the school year, thus,the school will put on hold the defer entry and not offer and not offer it to another child. The parent would not, however, be able to defer entry beyond the beginning of the term after the child’s fifth birthday, nor beyond the academic year for which the original application was accepted. Morning session only is available for parents opting to take up a part time place until child reach compulsory school age .
