About - Old Heath Community Primary School

Old Heath Community Primary School is situated just outside the centre of Colchester on Old Heath Road The school celebrated its centenary in 1994 and we are proud of the school’s history and place in the local community. It serves a pleasant residential area with a mixture of privately owned and rented housing. The school have large playground and field offer a variety of facilities for playtime, lunchtime and during lessons and recently they developed a nature/memorial garden with a large pond for children to enjoy throughout the school day.

Places available for admission is 30 children in each year group. All children are admitted into Reception Years in the Autumn term but induction arrangement varies depending on their birthday. Children born between 1st of September - 31st of December attend full days but those who born between 1st of January - 31st of March attend mornings only for first half term. And children who born 1st of April-31st of August will attend mornings only for the first term. Exceptional circumstances may be considered.
