About - St Josephs Catholic Primary School Harwich

St Josephs is a small, Church Primary School built in 1845 on the site which adjoined the Roman Catholic Church. It was 1946 the school renamed to St Joseph’s Roman Catholic School and became a primary established school on that time. Due to flood that damaged the school, new premises were built and opened on September 14, 1955 and up to now where St. Joseph's has been located.v>

A child has the right to a full time place at school from the September following their 4th birthday. Parents can request to defer admission until the child reaches compulsory school age in the school year. The parent would not, however, be able to defer entry beyond the beginning of the term after the child’s fifth birthday, nor beyond the academic year for which the original application was accepted.
