About - St Josephs RC College

St Joseph’s College (Mathematics & Computing Specialist College) is a Voluntary Aided 11-18, all ability, Roman Catholic school for boys (girls in the 6th form). The College was founded in 1855, and has been on its present site at Beulah Hill since 1904. It was an independent school until 1973 when it became Voluntary Aided. From 1993 to 1999 the College enjoyed Grant Maintained status and in 2003 they became a Mathematics & Computing Specialist College.

St Joseph's College is a Specialist School and 10% of the intake will be awarded on the basis of performance in our aptitude test in Information Technology. This is a short, online test, lasting up to about 80 minutes (depending on how quickly candidates work through the on screen instructions), which gives the College an indication of whether candidates have an aptitude in IT. Applicants who want a candidate to sit the aptitude test must tick the appropriate box on the SIF. Dates of the test will be sent to applicants.
