About - The Howbridge Infant School

Howbridge Infant School is a large three form entry Infant School situated in the south area of Witham. We work closely with Howbridge C of E Junior School with whom we share our school site.The school was built in 1966. Nine classrooms lead from a central hall and library area. Each classroom and toilet area has been refurbished to a high standard. The school has many high quality resources for learning and playing, including the multimedia suite and the playground and gardens which are an important part of our learning environment.

All children joining our school in the Early Years Foundation Stage (the reception year group) from September 2013, will be entitled to full-time education with effect from September. This is the group of children whose 5th birthday falls between 1st September 2013 and 31st August 2014. It is the policy of the school to admit all Reception children full time from September. Parents have the right to defer entry, or to request a part-time place until their child reaches compulsory school age within the school year for which a place has been offered. For part time attendees on September 2013 please notify the school on June 14th.
