Mary Bassett lower school are a nurturing community, supporting all of there children through the first stages in their school education. Their dedicated team of staff help children to achieve their full potential, whilst ensuring they gain a real pleasure in learning.

The Mary Bassett Lower School admits pupils using the following criteria:
(a) to children ‘looked after’ in the care of Central Bedfordshire Council
(b) to other children living within the catchment area.
(c) on ‘very exceptional’ medical grounds
(d) to siblings of pupils currently attending the school
(e) pupils identified through the fair access protocol as outlined by Bedfordshire County Council
(f) to any other children, based on their home address and distance from the school, priority being given to those closest.
