About - Vange Primary School and Nursery

Founded in 1876 , Vange Primary School and Nursery is a small and friendly primary school to the south of Basildon with extensive grounds. It overlooks Basildon Golf Course and boasts some magnificent playing fields lined with trees. At that time the school had two classrooms. Over the years population grows. And today, some 120 years on the school houses five classrooms and a wonderful Nursery. The school have now 108 pupils on roll.v>

Pupils are admitted in each year group up to a maximum of 15.Applications for a place at the school will be handled in accordance with the co-ordinated arrangements set out by Essex County Council. There is no guarantee of a place for children living in the priority admissions area. In the event of oversubscription places will be allocated using the following criteria in the priority order. In the event of oversubscription within any of the above criteria, priority will be determined by straight line distance from home to school, those living closest being given the highest priority.
