About - West Horndon Primary School

Opened in 1962 ,West Horndon Primary School with its extensive and attractive grounds serving the village of West Horndon and the surrounding area. At present the school have six classes including two special enhanced provision classes for children with speech and language difficulties.

Parent can apply online or submit completed application directly to Essex Local Authority. There is no guarantee of a place for children living in the priority admission area. In the event of oversubscription places will be allocated according to the set out criteria in a priority order. Where oversubscription is within any of the criteria given, priority will be determined by straight line distance from home to school, those living closest being given the highest priority. Exceptional medical circumstances (supported by medical evidence) may override the above (other than Looked After Children).
