Calculation Vs. Conceptualization

Sometimes you’ll absolutely have to work out some calculations to solve a Data Sufficiency question, but those instances are the exceptions rather than the rule. By looking for ways to minimize the amount of time you spend doing calculations, and by focusing on the nature of the question and statements, you’ll give yourself a significant advantage over those test-takers who go for the math every time.

Now that we’ve discussed the mentality of Data Sufficiency, we’re ready to turn our attention to analyzing how the test-makers go about making a question difficult. It turns out that they create "difficult" questions in very predictable ways. Let’s see how.
